Tulips Over Roses in Skincare

A few reasons why I chose to include tulips and not roses in my facial moisturizer.
🌷 For one, I grow tulips and wanted something that I grew to actually be in my skincare products, so it was a no brainer for me on that end!
🧪🧑🔬 Tulips are packed with tons of amino acids and flavonoids! Some of which are glutamine, asparagine, and arginine! Why are they important? Arginine helps restore visible skin damage, glutamine can help improve feel and look of skin, and asparagine can have hydrating and soothing benefits!
🌱 Tulips also contain a hormone called auxin (derived from the amino acid tryptophan). This hormones is involved in cell regeneration and collagen synthesis! This was a huge selling point in why I chose this over roses.
💧💧 The great part about putting tulip extract in my facial moisturizer is that it acts as a natural humectant! Humectants retain moisture in the stratum corneum (top layer of skin). One humectant you may be familiar with is hyaluronic acid!
